Bakels Group

The Brief

Bakels Group needed an engaging and inspiring way to explain the importance of emissions reporting to their global team. The animation would need to be relatable across a global audience, bridge the knowledge gap between teams, and inspire action, input and support.

The Approach

We chose to centre the animation on a day-in-the-life narrative to bring the relatability and real-feel that would be needed to engage staff with the importance of sustainability reporting. We developed a script that speaks directly to the viewer, bringing them into the story, and we selected a warm, approachable voice over to give the delivery a personal feel.

We created two main characters to lead the viewer through the animation. We see them in a range of realistic settings – from their home and journey to work, to their working day, whether in the office or in production. The animation follows our characters to highlight how emissions are produced throughout the day and explain the three different emission scopes. The animation ends with a positive and inspiring call to action that highlights the potential to work together to create a lasting impact.

The Result

The animation is live on Instagram and LinkedIn, where it has gained great engagement so far. To ensure it is accessible to all staff, we have created subtitle files in 12 languages, allowing the same video to be viewed with the closed captions of choice.
