Shipowners’ Club 3D app promotion

The Brief

The Shipowners’ Club needed a slick, impressive, high-tech animation to promote the launch of their new app for brokers – P&I Online.

So much work and time goes into developing an app, it made sense to showcase the launch in the most eye-catching way possible and so we settled on the creation of a 3D animation for this project. The brief called for pace and movement throughout, whilst highlighting the key benefits and capabilities of the app.

The Approach

We began by working with the team at Shipowners’ to craft a short 1 minute script that touched on the key USPs of the app.

For the visual style, we wanted to show the app on a range of devices, whilst centering the majority of the animation on the mobile display. We created a set of 3D environments for the phone to move through, using the Shipowners’ Club’s brand blue to create settings that had the depth of field we needed for the action to play out.

The team took screenshots and screen recordings of the app in action, which we used to populate the 3D mobile phone model. The messaging is supported with animated key text throughout and a techy sounding music track.
