European Biogas Association

The Brief:

Our objective was to create an animation that would educate a diverse audience about biogases – including Members of the European Parliament (MEPs), representatives from the biogas value chain, and the general public. The animation needed to address several key points:

Highlight the inputs and outputs of biogas production.

Showcase the environmental, economic and social benefits of biogases.

Emphasise competitiveness, resilience, and energy security.

Explain how biogases help reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

The content was intended to be evergreen and to be used across social media, websites, newsletters, and events.

The Approach:

In order to satisfy the brief, we needed to visually highlight the cyclical nature of biogas production and showcase the process of transforming waste into fuel that can be used to power various industries and communities.

To achieve this, we developed an abstract, yet detailed landscape, that merged urban, rural, and industrial settings. This design choice visually represented how biogas harnesses waste from all sectors and converts it into a sustainable energy source.

The Result:

The animation is visually impactful and appealing, drawing the viewer in and successfully communicating the many benefits of biogases. Within a short period of time, it garnered significant engagement on LinkedIn, X and YouTube.
