EURO-MOULDERS – Reducing the Carbon Footprint of PU Parts in Vehicles

The Brief

EURO-MOULDERS commissioned us to create an animation for a European policy maker and industry stakeholder audience that focuses on the contribution of PU industry to reducing the carbon footprint of automotive parts manufacture. 

The animation needed to highlight the importance of the performance that PU offers in terms of comfort, acoustics insulation and vibration control, whilst explaining the strides the sector is taking to reduce emissions. In particular, EURO-MOULDERS aimed to focus on the steps being taken to address the emissions generated during the chemical manufacturing of PU itself, and how these developments are aligned with the EU’s ambitions for zero-emission vehicles and the circularity objectives of the EU End-of-Life Vehicles Regulation.

The Approach

The team at EURO-MOULDERS shared a draft script at the outset of the production process, making narrative development for this project very quick and easy. With some minor adjustments to ensure voice over flow and reduce the animation length a little, we were ready to begin creating the draft storyboard.

Having created one animation for EURO-MOULDERS earlier in the year, we already had an established visual style that we planned to continue for this animation, to ensure cohesion across their 2026 policy animations. 

We used car journey scenes, supported by iconography and animated text, to visualise the messaging effectively and in a way that is relatable to all.
