CER – Europe’s Port-Rail Interface

The Brief

We worked with CER to create this animation that highlights the benefits of improving the European port-rail interface, and supports the emphasis put on the importance of stronger rail connections in the EU Ports Strategy.

Our brief was that the animation would need to raise awareness of the potential that improving connectivity between Europe’s ports and rail infrastructure holds – for competitiveness, sustainability, strategic autonomy and security.

The Approach

With the goal of creating a short animation of c.90 seconds, that would be both detailed and succinct, we worked with the team at CER to shape their key messages into a script that flows naturally from the brief introduction, through the key challenges and solutions, and finally to an inspiring conclusion.

We created colourful, appealing graphics for the animation that showcase port and rail infrastructure in relatable landscape scenes. We also used intuitive iconography and key text to support clarity and memorability of key points. These elements, together with the clear, professional voice over and an upbeat music track, result in an informative and inspiring animation that simply and easily delivers on the key goals of raising awareness and showcasing potential.

Results

The animation is live across CER’s social platforms, and has gained great interaction and responses so far.
