Chemical Business Association

The Brief

The Chemical Business Association commissioned us to create an animation that would introduce the Chemical Supply Chain to an audience of policy makers, as well as sector stakeholders and the general public. We needed to explain the importance of the supply chain for society and the economy, as well as highlighting the central role it plays in moving towards a more sustainable future. 

The Approach

We began work by drafting a script for the animation, and we then worked with the team at The Chemical Business Association to adjust and edit it into its final form. With a lot of information to convey, our focus was on creating an informative and educational script that highlighted the most impactful statistics, whilst giving viewers a broad overarching view of the scale and importance of the supply chain. 

The visual style for this animation uses an entirely new colour palette, with the CBA choosing to move away from their brand palette towards brighter, fresher and more modern colours. We worked with the team to develop the palette, and then created graphics that capitalise on its vibrancy. The animation combines characters, full scenes, recognisable iconography and key text to effectively visualise the broad ranging script.

The Result

Within a few hours of launch, the animation gained fantastic engagement on LinkedIn, with likes, comments and reshares from stakeholders across the sector.
