The Brief

RE-Source Platform needed a simple and engaging way to explain corporate renewable power purchase agreements (PPAs) – what they are, how they work, and why they’re crucial for driving renewable energy initiatives. Since policymakers can sometimes find PPAs difficult to grasp, the goal was to break down the topic and make it more accessible.

The Approach

We kick off the animation with a clear and straightforward question: “What is a corporate renewable power purchase agreement (PPA)?” From there, we explain the key differences between PPAs and standard electricity supply contracts, focusing on their role as long-term agreements that provide cost stability while supporting renewable projects.

To bring the story to life, we used the RE-Source Platform’s signature green palette and developed a fresh, modern visual style. We included a diverse cast of stylish professionals to reflect the innovative nature of the energy industry, along with a rotating globe and a detailed map of Europe to show the cross-border potential of PPAs. Graphics help simplify the benefits, showcase two real-world examples, and highlight future opportunities for growth.

The tone of this animation is friendly and direct, designed to connect with policymakers in a relatable way. By focusing on the real-world impact of PPAs, the animation aims to show how these agreements are essential for expanding renewable energy.

The Result

The final animation will be used to help demystify a complex topic and position RE-Source Platform as a trusted leader in the corporate renewables procurement market in Europe.
