Achieve together
The Brief
Achieve together commissioned us to create this animation to celebrate their 30th anniversary.
Our brief was to create an animation that celebrates their legacy – showing how they have grown and evolved over their lifetime, and highlighting key milestones – before looking towards the future. It was also important that the animation should be co-produced with the people they support, as this is central to their culture and way of working.
The Approach
To showcase the evolution of Achieve together over the 30 years of their lifetime, we decided to take a chronological approach to the narrative. We developed a script that opens with an introduction of who they are now as an organisation and the support that they offer. We then selected key moments from their history, showing how they have developed and grown as the social care sector in the UK has changed. The animation closes with a look towards the future and by focusing on their commitment to the people they support and the importance of empowering people to lead happy, healthy, meaningful lives.
To ensure that members of the Achieve together community were at the centre of the production and presentation of the animation, the voice over is recorded by 2 members of Unity, their co-production group. Holly and Michael each voiced the full script in a professional recording studio, and then we edited their audio to give one flowing narrative that works incredibly well to bring an authentic heart and soul to the animation.
We created a visual style for this project that centres on people – as they are the focus of everything Achieve together do – both the people they support and their skilled, professional team. We created relatable, warm scenes and settings using the bright and bold brand to the full, including the use of graphic elements that add depth and interest to the backgrounds and swooshes to highlight key text.
Results
The animation is now live across social media and is proving very popular with strong view and engagement statistics. The video is also being used at events and at townhall meetings, where feedback has been very positive.
