A Greater Lincolnshire for All

The Brief

We were asked to create a short animation for Greater Lincolnshire residents to raise awareness of local government reorganisation in the area, explain what it means for them, and highlight the Greater Lincolnshire for All proposal.

The Approach

We worked with the team behind the proposal to draft a script that clearly and succinctly explains LGR and the Greater Lincolnshire for All proposal. Our focus was on explaining what this means for residents and how the changes will improve services for them on a day to day basis.

With our regional audience in mind, it made sense to centre the visual narrative for this animation on the iconic landmarks of Lincolnshire. We created an appealing opening landscape scene that includes the Lincoln Cathedral, the Humber Bridge and the Red Arrows, amongst others. The landscape provides a strong Lincolnshire hook, which allows us to then go into the detail of the proposals, visualising the key points with characters and scenes and settings of everyday life. The overall look and feel is modern, welcoming and inclusive.

The Result

The animation is being used across web and social media to raise awareness and drive support. It is also being used at stakeholder events to encourage engagement and discussion.
