IndustriAll Europe
The Brief
IndustriAll Europe, representing workers in Europe’s industrial sectors, sought to distil the key messages of their policy papers into animations that were clear, urgent, and compelling. The focus was on the ongoing crises in the automotive industry, labour shortages, and responsible business conduct. Each animation needed to convey the gravity of these issues whilst embodying the voice of workers and demanding immediate action.
The messaging had to highlight the crises at hand, outline IndustriAll Europe’s demands, and inspire urgency from governments, manufacturers, and the EU.
The Approach
To achieve this, the animations use IndustriAll Europe’s distinctive red and blue colour palette, reinforcing brand identity while evoking urgency and strength. The visuals are accompanied by inspiring music and sound effects, such as cutting and machinery noises, to anchor the messaging in the workers’ reality.
Scripts were crafted to amplify the message. Sentences like “Factories are closing. Expertise is being lost. And livelihoods destroyed” provided a stark portrayal of the crises, while IndustriAll Europe’s demands were presented as decisive solutions.
Voice over artists with regional accents were chosen for narration. They delivered the scripts with emphasis on the agency of workers. Strength and emphasis on the impactful – a sense of hope and change and possibility… the voice overs are strong rather than doleful – they need this change it must happen. This was complemented by punchy, impactful sentences that mirrored the workers’ demands, providing clarity and emphasis.
The animations incorporated a mix of dynamic visuals, including maps of Europe, statistical data, and simple but effective iconography to visually break down complex issues.
The Result
The animations are already achieving strong engagement across social media platforms, increasing visibility for IndustriAll Europe’s campaigns. Their series of LinkedIn posts are already creating a buzz.
They are successfully translating complex policy papers into accessible, emotionally resonant content, ensuring that workers’ voices are heard and their demands amplified across Europe.
