Vimeo leads the way with social video publishing
Publishing videos on LinkedIn has just become easier following an integration with video hosting platform Vimeo.
Subscribers can now publish their videos directly to LinkedIn from within their Vimeo account.
It is the first hosting platform to integrate with LinkedIn after the business networking site launched native video uploading earlier this year.
It adds to Vimeo’s impressive range of social integrations which already includes, Facebook, YouTube and Twitter.
LinkedIn said in a blog: “In an effort to make video sharing even easier, we’re excited to announce that Vimeo, an ad-free open video platform, has launched a new integration that will allow businesses, brands and organizations to distribute their video content from Vimeo to their LinkedIn Company Page.”
Vimeo “now provides the widest publish to social distribution for videos”, so if you’re looking for convenience and time-saving then it’s attractive choice.
We’ve tested it and both the integration and process of uploading videos to the networks was very straightforward.
Vimeo said in a blog: “Instead of manually uploading videos to each social destination, Vimeo members can distribute their videos directly from Vimeo with one click all over the web. This includes their LinkedIn Company Pages, their websites, and other social destinations.”
In addition, Vimeo will provide you with stats on the performance of those videos, including views and watch time.
Earlier this year, Wistia also announced a publish-to-social feature that currently integrates with YouTube and Facebook.
