When I observed the postcode of the new office we were about to move to, it struck me that until now I’d spent my whole working life in East London.
A move no further than two streets involved a switch from an EC1 to a WC1 postcode and an office located in West London for the first time.
As a company, we’ve spent the last five years gradually moving West via Canary Wharf and Wapping to our current location in Clerkenwell.
Having spent the first 14 years of my career in the same building, I have become a fan of office moves. They are good for soul (if not the back).
A new office feels both refreshing and a sign of progress.
So I’m pleased to announce that the new home for Senate Media is Mount Pleasant Studio – an appropriate venue for a business of our type.
Billed as ‘London’s most centrally located’ film and TV studio, it has played recently played host to Hugh Grant for a green screen shoot for Paddington 2, Paul Hollywood for a Food Network series Paul Hollywood City Bakes, AND (though this is slightly lost on me) the actual throne from Game of Thrones.
Office tea drinkers, however, were far more impressed that it had hosted a recent shoot with the PG Tips monkey.
Now we’ve settled in, we look forward to making this our base for the next couple of years and providing a foundation for the next chapter in our development.
Our new address is: 51-53 Mount Pleasant Studio, London, WC1X 0AE.
